Application and development of small spray dryer in dairy industry
The spray dryer is mainly suitable for the production of micro particle powder in the laboratories of universities, research institutes and food pharmaceutical and chemical enterprises. It is widely applicable to all solutions such as emulsions and suspensions, and is suitable for drying heat sensitive substances, such as biological products, small spray drying machines, biological pesticides, enzyme preparations, etc. Because the ejected materials are only heated at high temperature when they are sprayed into fog like particles, they are only heated instantaneously to keep their active ingredients intact after drying.
At present, milk powder accounts for about 80% of the total output of milk products in China. The reason is that milk powder is easy to store and transport. In the process of milk powder production, monotonous section is one of the important links of milk powder production. The amount of water evaporated by monotonous section is almost the same as the quality of milk powder to be produced. Generally speaking, the production skill of the product decides the production equipment and control system of the product, but the use of equipment and control system can also alter the production skills of the product, and the application of spray dryer in the production of milk powder is a typical example.
The spray dryer was used in the production of milk powder industry at the beginning of 1901. It was only used in the milk industry in 1920s. It began to use in the end of 1940s. The early structure is attributed to the pressure box type (horizontal), the material atomization for the double flow type, power consumption. In 1958, the Ministry of light industry produced a small scale pressure spray in Heilongjiang province to produce milk powder. In 1955, the Songhua River milk factory in Harbin produced milk powder by centrifugal spray. The spray drying machines of these two methods are flat bottomed structures at the same time, and the powder is intermittent.
In the middle of 1960s, the box pressure monotonous equipment appeared a cone bottom belt spiral powder feeder (mixer) structure method: small spray dryer vertical multiple nozzle pressure spray dryer was born in the early 1970s, its appearance makes the spray dryer's useful volume reduced by nearly half, and does not need to stir the dragon, continuous powder production. In 1980s, a single sprayer vertical pressure spray dryer was produced. Its application in the milk powder industry is a key step to promote the technological progress of China's milk powder industry, laying the foundation for promoting the rapid development of China's milk powder industry.
